2015: Tinubu Dumps Buhari, Atiku For Kwankwaso

There are strong indications that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may have
dumped General Mohammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar
for Kano Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
As the race for who picks the All Progressive Congress' (APC) flag heats
up, Pointblanknews.com has learnt that Tinubu has switched interest, just
as he has told General Muhammadu Buhari to back a younger, more dynamic
and “fresh candidate.”
Sources hinted that Tinubu had never toyed with idea of a Buhari candidate
so when Atiku came he assured the former vice president of his support.
Sundry issue we learnt informed this. Atiku is viewed as a more marketable
candidate and a man many in the south can trust when it comes to the issue
of Islam.

Why I Exposed T.B. Joshua For Bribing Journalists – Nicholas Ibekwe

The last 48 hours were probably the most intense in my life. The love, kind words and support I've received in that period from, mostly, total strangers have been overwhelming. I want to thank everybody who saw the good in what I did. Though, to be honest, I think it was a little stupid. What was I thinking putting my life and probably my career on the line in an attempt to change something so entrenched it seems unchangeable? But really I'm not fazed by the trash talk from those allergic to the truth.
It's a long time coming and someone has to put the Big Ben on the fat cat, I guess.

Obama to address UN as Britain considers joining airstrikes

President Obama addresses airstrikes in Syria
The U.S.-led campaign against the Islamic State militant group is expected to dominate President Obama's address Wednesday morning before the United Nations General Assembly, as other nations including Great Britain weigh taking on a greater role.
The president is expected to cast the U.S. as the linchpin in efforts to defeat the militant group, more commonly known as ISIS. After launching strikes against militant targets in Iraq for over a month, the U.S. expanded its action into Syria Monday evening with the help of five Arab allies. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates joined the U.S. in carrying out airstrikes, while Qatar played a supporting role.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai attends his farewell ceremony at the presidential palace in Kabul.
Outgoing Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai took one final swipe at the U.S. Tuesday, telling a gathering of Afghan government employees that the 13-year American-led military action had failed to bring peace to his country.
"We don't have peace because the Americans didn't want peace," said Karzai, who will officially give way to President-elect Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai when the latter is sworn in Monday.

Five habits that will ruin your car

ruin-car-876.jpg

Most things you own will last longer if you take care of them and treat them well. Your car is no exception to this rule. While neglecting your car may seem harmless in the short term, regular neglect and mistreatment will add up and will reduce your car's lifespan. To keep your car running longer and stronger, avoid these five harmful habits.

1. Delaying regular maintenance

Regularly maintaining your car is vital to your car's longevity. Regular maintenance includes oil and filter replacement, as well as transmission fluid, air filter and brake pad care. Every vehicle manufacturer specifies a different maintenance routine, which can be found in your owner's manual. While regular maintenance requires you to invest some time and money, it's peanuts compared to the cost of a new engine or transmission.

Irans judiciary moves to block use of social media

President Rouhani
President Rouhani's government has clashed with Iran's judiciary over access to social media
Iran's judiciary has given the country's government 30 days to block a string of mobile messaging services, after they were used to publish "crimes" against "Islamic modesty and morals".
The move comes as a blow to Iran's president, Hassan Rouhani, who has so far taken a more liberal stance towards the use of social media in the country. "#Cyberspace should be seen as opportunity," he tweeted in May. And in August he surprised many by tweeting a picture of a female mathematician without a hijab.
His attitude is not shared by everyone in the country, however. Earlier this month 11 people were arrested for sending messages seen as insulting towards, Ayatollah Khomeini.
